Personal data collection and what we use it for

General

Personal data is any information that can be attributed to you to some extent. When you use our website, we collect and process a number of such data items. This takes place for example through cookies during ordinary access to content, subscription to our newsletter, submission of a contact form, participation in a competition or survey, registration as a user or subscriber, other use of services or if you make purchases via the website.

The information we collect is stored and processed in Dantherm Group's CRM systems, Dynamics CRM 365 and HubSpot.

Purpose

The information we collect is used to identify you as a user and to deliver the services you have requested, including to issue newsletters or respond to a request. We also use the information to optimise our services and content, including anonymised statistics, and to display advertisements that we believe to be relevant to you on our websites and on the websites of our partners, for example as Google ads, Bing ads, Yandex ads, sponsored content on LinkedIn and other social media.

Legal basis of data processing

We process personal information for specific legitimate business purposes, including:

  • To enhance, modify, personalise, or otherwise improve our services and communications to the benefit of our customers.
  • To gain a better understanding of people’s interaction with our site.
  • To determine the effectiveness of marketing activities.
  • To respond to enquiries and requests.
  • To manage consents and subscriptions to our mailing lists.

Our legal basis for this processing is Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR.

If personal data is processed based on your consent, you have the right to revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future.

Security

We have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent accidental or unlawful destruction, publishing, loss or degradation of your data, data from being disclosed to third parties, misused or otherwise processed in a manner that contravenes legislation.

Retention period

The information will be retained for the period permitted pursuant to legislation and we will delete data when it is no longer required. The retention period is dependent upon the nature of the information and the basis for storage. It is therefore not possible to provide a general timeframe for when data will be deleted.

If you subscribe to any of our newsletters or to receive other types of marketing materials, we will store and process your data for a period of up to two years from opt-out. We do so to ensure the necessary documentation of your unsubscriptions.

The overview in the "Cookies" section below states the lifespan of each cookie used by the website. When that lifespan has expired, the cookies will be deleted. Note that the lifespan will be calculated from the time of your most recent visit to the website.

Forwarding of information to third parties

Information and data collected from you may be disclosed to other companies within the Dantherm Group or to resellers of Dantherm Group products. Such data may include the contents of contact forms filled out by yourself for the purpose of providing you with the best possible service and doing so from the most appropriate geographical location.

Data relating to your use of the website, the advertisements you are presented with and, if applicable, click on, geographical location, gender and age segment, etc., can be disclosed to third parties to the extent such data is known. We also use a number of third parties for the storage and processing of data. These third parties process information on our behalf only and cannot use the data for their own purposes.

The disclosure of personal information such as names, e-mail addresses, etc., will take place only with your consent. We use data processors in the EU, United Kingdom and United States. In case of the need to process data in other countries this will only happen in countries that can adequately protect your data.
